Catfish Planted Tank

Hi:

I want to show my planted tank for catfishes. This is my setup:

Aquarium Components
Amazon driftwood
Silica substrate
2 filters 1400 - 1200 liters per hour

Underwater Plants
Anubias Nana
Cabomba Verde
Hygrophyla polysperma
Hygrophyla Corimbosa
Ludwigia Repens
Ceratopteris thalictroides

Floating Plants
Pistia Stratiotes

Fishes
Acanthodoras spinosissimus
Amblydora Hancockii
Agamyxis pectinifrons
Platydora Costatus
Pimelodus pictus
Sorubim Lima
Batrochoglanis raninus
Lisosomadora Morrowi

Looks great! I really like all of the driftwood.

However, have you tried flipping the long piece of wood on the far right side over, so the flat "stump" part is in the substrate?

Hello:

That side is for Amblydoras, Agamixis and Acanthodoras. those fishes sleep all the day here. The driftwood has many holes for them.

The filter zone is covered for this driftwood and plants.

great tank, and lostttt of hiding room. The tank looks empty till feeding time!!

Must be a bit scary seeing then peeking in the shadows.

Hello

Thank you very much for your comment.
I have two reasons to use two filters: Plants and Water Quality.
Plants: I do not want to have areas without water flow. The filter is connected to a PVC tube with four outputs. These outputs cover the lower area.
Water Quality: The second filter is in charge of water flow on the surface.
In conclusion, we have two streams of water covering different areas of the aquarium to meet specific needs.
