thanku. the carpet is actually recovering from a co2 issue but we all know how fast glosso grows its almost unoticable now.

and as for your hi light tank stay away from hi wattage cfl's as a cheap alternative. the color isnt rite. save up and dish out the money for a good pc fixture. this is a current 2x24w. the rotala has been trimmed recently but in a week the whole right side of the tank will be red. well worth it. goodluck.

As of right now, I have two 28w CFL desklamps with 6500k screw CFL bulbs, and one desk lamp that I cannot remember the name that I was using on my 5.5 gal tank when it was setup. This is my first foray into high light, I have had several low light including my current 36 gal. which is thriving. I have the lighting down pat now on the 10, the reds are coming out very well in my few stems that are in there, and in the Red Root floater I have over part of the tank. The Marselia carpet on the lower light side of the tank (because of the floaters) is filling in very nicely, and my dwarf hair grass on the high light is spreading like a wild fire. I just have not pulled together the money or plant list to fill in the back of the tank yet. The reason for the Red Root floater and lower light on one side of the tank is two fold I LOVE the floater lol and I have "Emerald Rasbora" Cousins to the CPD in the tank, they are VERY skittish unless... you have something to diffuse the lighting and cover to make them feel more comfortable.

I like how lush your tank looks even though it is a smaller tank, which Is where I am heading to try. I do have a couple build threads on both of my current tanks if you have the time to stop by the link is in my sig.
