Big maintenance day today.
Scrubbed all glass, Lilyís, wood, clipped and replanted, new polishing pad in the 2215.

Didnít clean out the filter because the tank is FINALLY CYCLED! So, I didnít want to risk loosing any more bacteria than I had too by switching out the old pad.

Lowered the water level since Iím importing some medaka and do not want them jumping out.

In preparation for their arrival, I switch the outflow to a intake lily. This reduced the back pressure and creates a gentle current rather than a powerful river like movement I had with the violet.

Love your tank! Can you share what sort of wires you used to hang the lights?

Well.. this tank almost got torn down. I switched over to a ONF light from a twin star. Ran the light at 100% brightness, as you can expect with that intensity... i got green hair algae! Pulled out every plant in the tank. Replanted everything. Turned down the light to 35% and finally everything thing is back to normal. Switched over to the new ADA Brighty line of ferts and all I can say is that they are worth it.

I also introduced 6 orange medaka, rice fish, so far the females have laid around 3-4 batches of eggs. Hopefully Iím a few weeks Iíll start to see some fry!

Had stainless steel pipes I got from eFlay on this tank but the stream seemed to be too much... installed a DOOA poppy put flow and now the fish seem to be much more happier!!

Great looking tank! I see you went through a series of lily pipe changes, I had that same issue!

Where did you pick up that ONF Light? Do you like the spectrum of the lights better then the 600SP?

Yes I did go through white a bit of lilys trying to find the right flow. I must say that Iím very happy with the poppy.

ONF sent me the light to review. I am Kaquatics on Instagram and will be putting out some review content soon.

I want to get the UNS 180U 156 gallon, but that would be the last anyone would hear of me, because my wife would be in prison for murdering me.
