40 Breeder Revival

Hey guys recently I had to take down my 40 breeder due to moving. I tried my best to keep my fish alive unfortunately most didn't make it. I managed to save 6 cardinals but now theyre so shook up that they don't come out anymore. Also surprisingly, most of my crystal red shrimps survived. Here are some shots of the madness ... updates soon

well guys the crystal red shrimps suffered terrible deaths. I underestimated the relentless hunting behavior of the apistos. They've finished off most of the shrimp babies and finally took down my last few adults. ive been searching for a rooty piece of driftwood and today we hit the jackpot. Also picked up some hydrocotyle sp japan. I'm gonna attempt to get this to carpet. I started dosing pps pro ferts and excel.

well guys its been a while since my last update. a lot has changed and ive got some new equipment for the tank. I work 2 jobs and sometimes it can be a little difficult to feed the apistos so I needed to figure out a way to ensure higher survival rate for the shrimp so they may keep their numbers up while still providing meals for the apistos. I rescaped the tank AGAIN lol. Since the rescape the shrimp population has increased a lot and I'm happy with the results because it still allows my apistos to dwell and establish territory in the tree. So far one female has spawned. I got lucky and found a gla regulator on craigslist for $40 with everything but it seems it was modified to fit a paintball tank but I believe this model may fit a standard cylinder. anyways enough chit chat heres some pics ..
