My First Planted

After lurking here for awhile I decided to jump in head first.

Wife shot down the idea of the 300 gal tank and we ended up with this 54gal corner tank. After painting the stand to blend with the walls, again the wifes idea. Here is where I stand..

Equipment:
54 gal corner tank and stand
Fluval 306 Filter
Aqueon 200w Pro Heater
Finnex 30" Planted+ 24/7
DIY Rex Griggs reactor.
Fluval Bubble counter
Hydroponics Pro CO2 regulator
Needle Valve
20oz Paintball CO2 Bottle with adaptor

Hardscape:
50# Lace Rock
30# Fluval Stratum

Plants:

Livestock:

Looking for suggestions for Plants and Livestock.

Nice launching pad sir/ma'am. I'm sure you'll get lists of plants and stock a plenty and that's all fine. Personally I think the best way to explore what you might like is to look at examples so you can see with your eye how something looks vs reading a name and having to go look it up.

The Tropica Inspiration page has a ton of planted tanks and each one includes a plant map so you can immediately reference the plant your eye likes with an actual detail page.

For stock I use Animal-World Tropical Fish page for browsing because you can easily flip through different fish in the same family and they have pictures and full information sheet on each one.

Good luck filling out that pretty tank.

Agreed ! Tropica.com has great inspiration pages to give you a visual. They include complete plant lists & a map of tank placement. I used # 89 for my 34 gallon ! Good luck with your new tank. (ps) The wife is always correct 😉

Nice hardscape! Some Blyxa popping up around those rocks some Monte Carlo up front would be nice. Or s. repens.
