Please don't use that fluval co2 system. It's legit crap. Go with the most basic co2 art combo kit. You get everything you need and you are not ever going to have to replace it probably. And if you do have to, they have a 5 year warranty (pretty sure it's 5 years).

I wouldn't do a betta with the rest of that stock. If you must, though, make sure introduce it after everything else is established so it isn't possessive of the territory. Still, you can't guarantee that it won't terrorize and/or eat its tankmates. Besides that and the note about the CO2 system, it sounds neat and I'm excited to see how it progresses!

I like your hardscape so far. It looks nice and natural yet simple. Maybe to simple I think out should add two more rocks to put in front of the main rocks now. It will keep a odd number of rocks to your scape but will help to create more complexity and depth. That's just what I think of course.

I'm going with a base of lava rock then Amazonia also for my 120-P, it's simply to expensive to fill it all up with Amazonia.

You look like your off to a great start, keep up the good work

Thanks, skye

I bought parts to make a paintball Co2 system. Now I wish I had bought a Co2 kit system for it was not cheaper buying parts individually. I wish I had gotten a Co2Art Co2 system. Here is 1 for a paintball

The view from my side of the desk, the finnex planted+ se came in, as well as my python.
so to get better scaling the scape I'm thinking Cuba would be the better option?

May I ask what happened to your last scape?

My bad I feel like a retard. That's the backside of the scape.

It just looks so much better from the front, I was worried you had changed your entire scape.

Personally I would put bacopa or a yellow/orange plant by the lily. Then switch the green plant in the top right for something like ludwigia arcuata, or rotala rotundifolia.

Ludwigia arcuata

Rotala rotundifolia

I was thinking about that too, kind of like getting a mirror image (color wise) I was looking at Alternanthera reineckii. Should I think about something besides the wendtii bronze maybe I'm adding to many colors? I was also considering Pogostemon helferi as the plants at the base of the rocks seeing how buce and anubias prefer to be tied to things so the roots are in the water column.

Exactly my point, balancing the different colors is hard but will look a ton better if down right. At the base of he rocks I would try hydro Japan "mini". I really like the look and when I set up my 120-P I have a huge centerpiece rock that will be covered in hydro Japan "regular". Here's a pic, you may not like the look but I do.

And also Anubis and crypts love substrate if they can get it. Usually these plants are grown on wood and rocks so many people think that they don't like the substrate but that's very wrong. If you look at almost all of the ADA setups you will see that even Anubis have substrate somewhere tucked into the hardscape. Another thing to go I front of your rocks may be downoi if positioned properly. But again what ever suits your fancy the best. Here's a pic of downoi though

Hopes this helps, skye
