That's logical, right?
I'll be moving out of my apartment in June, which presents me with a great opportunity to strip down my current setup and start anew...most importantly, without incurring the wrath of my girlfriend.
Unfortunately, I never got around to starting a journal for my current tank but this seems like an ideal time to start one for this next adventure. Can't wait for everything to get delivered to I can get started!!
Current 90 gallon setup:
I'm having a little trouble saying goodbye to this setup, but it's for the best. I recently purchased a 114 gallon tank by Ultum Nature Systems from Aquarium Design Group here in Houston. I couldn't get over those beautifully mitered corner joins!!
While the tank is beautiful, it's dimensions (120x60x60cm or roughly 47x23x23in) make finding a suitable table/stand difficult. Add to that the fact that it's going to be in the living room and had to fit in with the other furniture in order to receive the girlfriend's approval. I ended up purchasing a vanity that was on sale at Restoration Hardware. I will be reinforcing the frame and getting a stone top made once it gets delivered next week.
Here's what I'll be using as the stand:
I have also been searching high and low for some manzanita wood to use in the new scape. I'm very picky and was looking for something specific, which I was finally able to find. I had a nice surprise waiting for me when I got home from my work trip.
