Thanks Baowow,
I can say it's a work in progress . I got it started about three months ago with plastic plant.. Then decided to go with live plants. By then it was already loaded with fish so changing the substrate at that point was out( nowhere to put the fish ). The next one hopefully around Christmas will be a 50 tall with proper subtrate for plants.

Smile One month update!!

Well, I guess I wasn't totally satisfied. LOL Actually the change was done as a result of my high phosphate situation. As it turned out the large rock in the left corner was leaching phosphate like mad.(Test water was actually dark opaque blue) My test kit only measure up to 5PPM I'm guessing it was actually 5 to 10 times that.(Took me two weeks of tri-weekly 30% water changes and a phosphate sponge to bring it down) Yesterday, I transfered the large plant in the center to my 10G as it was shading all the other plants in the foreground and replanted trimming from the Wisteria and Ludwigia Repens along the back & sides. Still to be added are three bundles of Vals I picked up today. First pic was about a 12 days ago shortly after the rock was taken out. The second was taken tonight.

Thanks Puffer; My Java is loaded with plantlets. I've been waiting to add a couple pieces of wood to give me more planting area before moving them. (Maybe Santa will be nice to me,LOL)

Post Another facelift!!

Well did a major trimming of the Ludwigia and Wisteria today and added the Vals. Now if I can only leave it alone for a few weeks I may actually see something I like.
