Flora
Hemianthus micranthemoides
Eleocharis acicularis
Rotala rotundifolia

Dosing: Waterchanges on Saturday 25%
Once a week (Saturday):
Flourish Phosphorus™ 1.25ml
Continuum Aquatics Flora Viv (Trace) 1 ml
(Continuum is my preferred brand better ingredients and cheaper but I was given a Seachem NPK set as a gift)

Twice a week (Wednesday & Saturday)
Flourish Nitrogen™ 0.5ml
Flourish Iron™ 1ml

Daily:
Continuum Aquatics Flora Viv Prolifa (Carbon Addivtive like excel but different ingrendients and not an algaecide)

I really like the hardscape. Do you have anything tall growing in the corner to eventually cover the filter up a bit?

Thanks Willcooper. That hairgrass should get to about 15cm eventually and cover it completely. It is just a slow process as it's a low tech tank. The other corner will be a pearl weed / rotala bush eventually as well.

Wondering if I should put a black background on this tank, Currently it has no background but it is sitting on a dark grey shelf (the tank finished were the short bookshelf above it starts). If I do go with a black background I am going to use self adhesive vinyl, I work as a Designer in a small business so I have access to plenty of coloured vinyl stocks.

I will post some update pictures tonight, the pearl weed is growing like mad, I am considering getting a red plant to add a bit of contrast, thinking either infront of the pearlweed or next to the hardscape on the right. Would love any suggestions.

Also thinking about moving the filter to the other corner depending how thick the pearlweed gets.

Some update photos. The pearlweed is just growing like well weeds I see where it gets its name from. I need to remove it from everywhere else in the tank. Any suggestions for other plants maybe foreground and middle ground on that right side. Thinking something red.

Update time. So after a bit of neglect due to life getting busy. I did a good trim yesterday I removed all the plants in the foreground not sure what to do there yet and I also cut the hairgrass right down as it was all melted. I don't mind how it looks short like that and depending on how it grows I might bring it forward a bit. I also changed my filter to my spare hang on back for now which is a pre cycled filter as my internal has been problematic ( impeller was touchy and snails get in everything. ) thinking about getting a Aquaclear 20 for this tank but open to suggestions.

Still bit 100% happy with the plants but slowly getting there. Let me know what you think.

I have also seen some pearling in this tank which I cannot believe as there is no co2. Mostly happens on the pearlweed which lives up to its name.

( the cories are currently in this tank until they grow out a bit more so they can go into a pond with some aggressive goldfish ! )

I live in far North Queensland in Australia so our temperature only goes between 20c to 35c most times ( occasionally 15c to 40c) so never goes below 60F. It is for my parents pond that has goldfish, guppies, tetras, corys and a big bristlenose catfish.

All sorts of the fish we keep in aquariums can go into ponds. When I we a kid we had a pond(an old in ground hot tub) that we kept mostly fancy goldfish in. Although, we put a variety of fish from my aquariums out for all but the coldest times of the year(far northern CA-so like Nov-March). Angels, corys, plecos, cichlids such as firemouths, gouramis, pretty much anything that would beat up on our big fancy goldfish. I had a common pleco go from <3" to almost a foot in one summer!

They love the pond and it's great for any fish that don't end up working in my community tank if they are to aggressive etc they get donated to the pond.
