75 Gallon Journal
I started this tank about six months ago, and I am finally ready to share a few pictures of it. Feel free to leave suggestions and ask questions.
I am sharing these images from my iPhone; if they aren't good enough pleas let me know and I'll snap a few with my girlfriend's camera and try to find a better method of uploading them.
For the substrate I used Miracle Grow Organic potting soil with a gravel cap. The soil works very well except that it stains the water a brown/yellow color and limits the available light to the bottom. I have 6 bags of ADA that I am planning to replace it with as soon as I find the time.
Flora: s. repens
Mirimo moss balls
2x Cory catfish
5x bloodfin tetras
6x Zebra dannios
4x Neon tetras
5x otto cats
5x assassin snails
controlled population of MTS, and Ramshorn snails
5x nerite snails
healthy population of ghost shrimp
2x freshwater puffer fish
I realize I am slightly overstocked, I had to move some of my livestock into this tank when I put ADA into my secondary tank, and I'm waiting for the ammonia levels to reach a safe point before moving them back.
Filtration: Eheim Classic 2215, its rated for 90 gallons so I figure the extra fish should be safe for now.
Lighting: 48 Four bulb fixture with 2x 6700k T5HOs and 2x 1000k T5HOs and blue night time LEDs
