75 gallon Spiderwood island
So after a year with my 36 gallon bowfront, I've decided to upgrade to the tank that I really wanted, which was this 75. Found a great deal on CL, got it cleaned up from a salt water set up, and will be using black diamond as a substrate instead of PFS. 3 bags gave me around 3 inches of depth.
I haven't had much luck with too many plants in the 36. The ones that are doing well are some crypts in the corner, and a lace plant. The rest will be thrown out or RAOK'd if they're nice enough. This time around, I've got a nice piece of spiderwood that will act as the centerpiece and will be getting some dragon stone from the LFS. As far as plants go, it'll be mainly anubias and java ferns. My vision is a spiderwood "island" that is low maintenance. I'll be using DIY CO2 at a very low rate and will be dosing ferts sparingly. This seems to have been most successful for me. I'll upload pics when there's something worth looking at
Love your tanks and they will love you back
