20l nano cube

Hi,

This is my first tank. It is 20l Diversa tank (25cmLx30cmHx25cmD), Chihiros LED A-series 25cm 15W set on 2/7, 50W Eheim Jäger and Eheim Aquacompact 40 with Seachem Purigen. Tank was set up on 8th of March 2016.

Plants are: Dwarf Pistia stratiotes, Ceratophyllum demersum, Cladophora aegagropila, Cryptocoryne walkeri, Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Brown', Vallisneria 'Corksrew', Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Green' and Cryptocoryne 'Flamingo'.

Substrate is Rataj Profi Soil with substrate tablets.

I also use Tetra Betta Aqua Safe and Seachem Pristine. I am dosing Dennerle nano daily fertilizer, liquid CO2 from Rataj and weekly JBL Ferropol.

It is home for one Betta, 2 Cardinala japonica and about 9 another shrimps.

I am fighting with few problems. My water is hard and my vallisneria is melting from liquid CO2 dosing. Brown, green and black algae are living inside. Sadly pressured CO2 is not possible right now.

I am doing weekly water change a gravel cleaning.

If you want to help me, please do!

I will keep you updated with photos.

I shoot Canon 100D and 24mm F2.8 pancake lens. Post-processing is done in Photoshop. 24mm is horrible for macro but offers better quality than 18-55 set lens. I am saving for 60mm 2.8 Canon macro lens.

I upload photos to google photos and then post direct link here.

Awesome photos and great scape!

Your algae problem may be due to excessive light without CO2 injection. What light level are you using with those lights? If I recall they come with a dimmer?

Yes, lights is dimmed. Dimmer is set on 2/7 of full power. Last week I stopped dosing JBL Ferropol and algae situation is better. Current state photo:

I am playing with idea of small 500g CO2 bottle. Maybe I will reward myself for finishing my masters thesis.
