Steven's Hangout

I am in Method's Classroom

For 2 months I have been working on an Aquarium . With my class we have each cycled our tanks, grown bacteria, and added flora and fauna to our tanks. Together with the help of our teacher our tanks have become beautiful and full of life. In my tank I have acquired 5 Endlers Livebearers and 5 Neon Tetra and my substrate of choice is Black Diamond Blasting Sand on top of soil. Above my tank I have 18 inch T8 shop lights and for my filter I have an Aquaclear 20.Along with Cryptocoryne, Sagittaria Subulata, and Java Fern I am planning on getting Anubias, Fittonia, and Japanese Pennyworth. I named my tank ďStevenís HangoutĒ because Steven was the name of my turtle. Right now my tank is supposed to look like a forest; I am growing Java Fern in the back of it and Iím hoping that by the end of this month it will look like a jungle.

For the future Iím planning on getting a Crown Tail Betta Fish and 1 or 2 Amano Shrimp. Iím hoping that by the time I get these things my tank will be completely filled with plants. I want to line the back of my tank with Riparium Planters filled with Fittonia, Raspberry Swirl Josephís Coat, and Coleus. My goal for my tank is to make it this school year without losing (or killing) any of my fish. I want to make it as beautiful as possible and to have as many different colors as possible. This is my goal for my plant.

We'll get a better pic soon. I really like this tank. The owner is doing a great job with a dirt tank!

Your plants should love the dirt in the bottom once their roots can find it. Nice tank! I like the java fern in the back the best.
