5 Gal Current Solo Tank - A TJ Maxx Find

So I wanted to start a journal on my bedside NANO that i've been fiddling with lately.
The tank is the 5g solo, a tank i picked up a my local TJmaxx for $60.

To start, i like the LED strip lights that run around the edges of the lid, they are fully adjustable so i can get some really nice color tones in the tank. (Plus i'm in love with the thunderstorm setting)

The filter is decent and does it's job well. It can be set up three different ways, and a few adjustments make it usable for any simple setup.

I added a small Aqueon Heater to the setup, which works nicely.

In the tank currently are two butterfly loaches that are waiting of their new home to finish cycling, and a betta i picked up the other day.

I'm no fish, but I'm sure they don't enjoy the thunderstorm setting. Ever notice your fish freak out when you turn the light on?
My theory is the least amount of stress to any fish/animal being kept in captivity, the better.
But hey, to each his/her own.
