Lost a few guppies to agression from having to many males (random net scoop from another tank, and didnt sort). Was buying fish flakes at walmart and happened to see a beautiful crowntail withering away in a dirty cup. Perked right up when i put him in the tank though.

Nice simple setup. I love 10 gallons because they're so cheap to set up. 1 thing i would change is the lighting. I would switch it with some cheap LED lighting off amazon that will probably cost you less in the long run and probably put out more light but thats just something i did to all my 10s.

Thanks for the advice! I already have it on order. 4 5050 smd strips (2 6500k, and 2 3500k), will be a total max of ~36w, with an inline dimmer. It will be retrofitted into the t5 fixture, and total cost should be less than $20.

Nice tank. I like your DIY lighting. Sorry to hear about your betta and your guppies. Show us a pic of your tank with the new light whenever you get the chance of course.
