I'm going to try and keep this updated as best I can. I'm open to all suggeations and on that note I guess I'll dive in.
The tank: Aquaone aquanano 40. Its a 50l Scape space with a built in sump at the back hiding a few litres.
Lighting: I'm just using the stock LED light unit. Upgrading this is a future project (budget permitting).
Heater: stock aquaone 55w. It holds a stead 27C.
Pump: stock aquaone pump. Honestly I'm not sure on the flow rate but it seems to give a decent flow and water turnover.
Sadly this is a short list however I've got some planned.
1. My main focus was upgrading the sump and filter media. I swapped out the useless filter cartridges and in place added a higher flow sponge.
Secondly I've built a media stand in the other chamber housing the Biohome ultra. Using the stand I'm getting very little water channelling and almost no flow reduction.
2. The cabinet. Recently I replaced the standard cabinet/stand that came with the tank for a fully custom unit with double the space.
Elas some pictures.
This is the tank last year with my first planting/scape attempt and before the uogrades.
And as it is today. It went through a major rescape.
