55 gal tank

Its great to have been bitten by the planted aquarium bug!
Here is the beginning of my first attempt at a planted tank:
55 gal tank
2X 65w, 6700k coralife colormax lights raised a few inches
biowheel 580
2X nutrafin C02 units(really diy type but with diffusers
Flourite mixed with some larger gravel
I purchased used with 2 amazons and what i was told was a bunch of micro swords but really is crypt wendti. It melted pretty good when i first got it home and refilled with water.

This is what i have done so far.
Please give me as much feedback as you want. I am trying to figure out what I am doing so after everything grows for a month, I will experiment with some new plants.

My goal is to have a nicely planted tank which will be able to breed the mated pair of Festivum Cichlids which were part of the trade for the tank.

Here is what I am currently doing:
1/2 EI dosing method
25% water change weekly
lights on 4 hours, off 7 hours, on 6 hours, off 7 hours.
Not testing water for anything

Fish:
2 Festivum Cichlids
5 Congo Tetras
7 small glowlight tetras
3 red tail tiger loaches
1 albino bristlenose

I probably need to add some additional algea eating types but don't really know yet. I do have a little bba but had the lights on 10 hours per day until a couple of days ago so I will see if less light helps

Here is the tank today after 25% wc. What do you all think?

1st change and added plants

Here are some updated pics.

Look ok for a mild rescape and added plants? Learning much and appreciate all who have helped!

Now I will just let it grow out for a few months and go from there.

So its been a couple of months and I have bought some different plants and am wondering what I should do with this 55 gallon. The first pic is a fairly recent pic(i removed some of the Crypts on the left in front of the cave and added some baby tear and rotalla green which i want to trim into bushes as they grow) I will post a new pic tonight when it is dark showing the most recent scape. One question i have is should I remove the Amazon on the right and replace with some of the plants in my 20L in the other pics? i received some of these as RAOK so dont even know their names so any help with that is also appreciated. I have a lot of crypts and 5 amazons which i will be getting rid of some soon. Sorry for the poor pics, i will try to get some decent ones tonight.
What do you all think?

This has come a long way since I started. I deleted the previous pics but am curious as to what everyone thinks. Let me know what else I can improve on. I really like the driftwood. I found a root along the Poudre River and spent about 6 weeks getting it to sink,
I currently have:
Congo Tetras
Giant Danios
Zebra Danios
Albino Bristlenose plecos
Ottos
Redtail Tiger loaches
just DIY co2 but purchased a regulator and will accumulate the other parts for tnak co2 and add some other plants.

It looks 100% better than the last picture; the plants look very healthy as well.

Without Algae, death of mankind would be inevitable.

Wow, looks really good!

How are you diffusing the Co2 on the Nutrafin system?

I am starting to get the hang of it and have kept the light low for now. Thanks!

Thanks,
I am using a powerhead and also another line into the HOB filter intake. I have three going in total, but have purchased the co2 regulator so should be going pressurized some time soon.
