I know I said I was sticking to TWO large tanks, but I have so many empties laying around, I was bound to set them up eventually! The empties include: two 2.5 and two 10 gallon tanks, so..I want to devote one of the 10 gallons to a single dwarf puffer.
I have all of these from my betta breeding days. I'll probably use a nano to breed those pesky snails (as if I don't have enough in my larger tanks), and I have easy access to blood worms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp..and just about anything else to spoil the little thing rotten.
I won't start right away, of course, because I want it to be well-planted and 100% cycled..but it's definitely something for my restless mind to chew on!
As far as goodies I already own, besides the spare tanks, I have the two stock strip lights that came with my 55 (15W each)..the stock strip from my 29 (20W), several spare Whisper internal and HOB filters, native plants for the DP's environment, some wood, and two extra heaters. I'll use a HOB filter and one of the 15W light strips for a low light/tech set-up, as well as my little heater and a digital thermometer (I have them on both my tanks and love them)..and, as always, I'll post plenty of pictures!
Don't worry, I don't plan for any other inhabitants..I've always loved the dwarf puffer's personality, they're so intelligent! I just want one to spoil.
