First planted (10gal)

So I'd been thinking about doing a planted tank for a couple of months after I had started up with my Goldfish. The internet is a horrible, horrible place ;P
Bought the setup on sale for a good price and set it up first with plain grey gravel, tetra filter, Amazon Sword, Anarchis and one Danio to help cycle.

I started adding Flourish Excel for fertilizer and the plants responded well at first but soon the Anarchis began to melt so I removed it.

After the tank was cycled I added a black back and silica sand (purely for the looks), I ordered some micro sword and added Cardinals and Rummynose tetras.

I had a really rough time with the RN, the first batch I got, one died the next day. All of the params were normal so when I got some more I was careful about acclimating them. I didn't dose excel for a day or so. When I did another would die. So after time and time again I assumed the PH fluctuation caused by the excel was what killed them. Cardinals did fine.

Anyway the silica sand was a pain, wasn't letting enough nutrients to any of the plants so I had to clean out the whole tank...removing sand is great fun. Afterwards I added Eco-complete. Almost all of the Microsword died so I scrapped it and bought some DHG and a couple of Anubis Nana. Practice, practice right? fehhhh

I waited a few days while dosing Excel to make sure everything was freakin' peachy. Nothing was dying so I did some rearranging, bought a few new plants and added some O2 and a DIY 2L bottle CO2. Currently the tank has three female bettas, two shrimp and a few Cardinals. Everything's doing good so far.

You guys have any suggestions on what I should do next? I was thinking about getting one of those Hagen bubble ladder co2 deelies just so I can do away with that hideous coke bottle. heh.

Oh yeah, I just noticed something yo, is that plant leaf like your frozen bloodworm cube "plate" yo? What brand is that yo? I think I use the exact same brand yo, because my bloodworms look very similar to your bloodworms yo, so I'm guessing they're made by the same bloodworm maker yo.
