The Bike Path

For my first aquascape I tried to evoke the Capital Crescent Bike Trail that runs from Georgetown to Silver Spring, in the Washington DC area. The tank is a 30 gallon Marineland purchased used on Craig's List. CO2 with Aquasoil. I started with beginner plants, because that's what I am!

The cardinal tetras sort of look like cyclists first going up the path, then next going down. Last shot unfortunately has a reflection from the window.

Let me know what you think!

Neat idea and great placement of the plants along the path. Can we get a full tank shot?

Your tank is beautiful! I love sandy paths and how they can make you imagine what is beyond. TY for sharing.

If you peer into the glass, and look real close, you can see my soul!

Poor unsuspecting neons, cycling straight into the back wall of the tank... *crash*...

Great job... this looks fantastic!

Wow! Your tank is awsome! I love it! Can't wait for a FTS!

The best part of my day is unwinding in front of my tank..............

Beginner you say? I have a hard time believing that! Haha really though, this is great. I'm not normally a fan of paths but the tall growth in your tank really suits it and even makes me want to try somehing similar somewhere down the line. Awesome job!

Thanks. As for beginner, well I've kept discus for years, in unplanted tanks. But I attended the Aquafest last fall in Maryland and watched a demonstration setup of two aquascapes, so I thought I'd give it a try.
