Under the tank it self, there will be thin plywood, then the rubber (standart aquarium mat)..
The aquarium is juwel lido 120 <<<<

I would say that it wouldn't hurt to have extra cushion even under a rimmed aquarium. I know the rim is supposed to take the bulk of the weight and help evenly distribute the pressure on the glass. So to me putting a cushion underneath that would only help it even more.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
