Me personally I think that would be great if I was doing a mini reef but fresh planted tank not so much. Your basically giving up a third of tanks area to a sump that all that bioballs and prefilter area that would be a total waste, that space would be better used for actually housing fish and plants/landscaping. Your paying a huge overhead for a bunch of sump space that is really not of much use for a freshwater planted tank.
Also hate tanks with partial sealed on tops.
You could get a plain glass 44 corner pent, a badass light(s), canister/filter/surface skimmer and stand for less $$$ and have almost twice as much area for what matters, plants, hardscape and fauna. In a fresh plant tank the gravel and plants are the biofilter, giving up tank real estate to big area of bioballs that will be nothing but a nitrate farm is a waste.
Much rather have this type tank and pick my own appliances/hardware to fit my needs.
