How hard is excel on riccia?

72 bow, 265w, pressurized, powerheads, diffuser, dry fert + flourish for trace.

medium fish load

lots of plants, I ask because i was gone and a fish died, there had to have been an ammonia spike because I have some brown algae on higher stem plants... the growth is bright and vibrant on the very tops but the old bushy parts are covered in brown algae.... i just got flying fox today so hopefuly it will help in a day or so along with a small bristlenose... Plants are looking good otherwise... baby tears isn't as green as I'd like it to be... battling just a tiny little coat of brown algae as well... barely visible... probably hurting it's growth...

I assume the brown algae is diatoms? I think you can probably do a 2x recommended dose. I've done it and it didn't kill the riccia.

I've done quadruple and triple dosing and all it did to the riccia was make it grow faster. On the really good side, subwassertang grows faster too.
