Cardinal Tetra turned pale after putting in Flourish Tabs

One of my Cardinal Tetras turned completely pale almost see through right after putting 5 tabs in my 20 gallon long tank. As soon as I removed them he turned back to his regular wonderful color. What is all this about? I called Seachem and they asked if I took a picture which I didn't because I wanted to get those tabs out right away! Anyway anyone else have an experience like this? What happened to my fish and any recommendations on future fertilizer?
Thank you in advance

I do a modified version of PPS Pro and use Flourish Tabs under my swords, I have 9 cardinals and have never observed the pale thing. I suppose if you had VERY soft water the tabs could make the PH drop? Cardinals under lots of stress will pale out, such as shipping or netting/moving. Maybe he/she was pissed because you stuck your hands in there?

My Ph is actually 6.5 with 0 ammonia. The little guy is used to me cleaning around in there. It's just weird that all of a sudden he'd turn color so quickly

That is odd. Try putting a tiny bit of a tablet in the system. About as much as would wash off the tablet in the action of lowering it through the water. (Maybe the dust from the package). Don't disturb the tank to do this.
