EI- Extra Water Change

Would it be counterproductive to perform a mid-week 25% water change in addition the regular 50% change on Sundays? This is assuming I will be dosing regular macros/micros per EI weekly schedule.

It would reduce the concentration of ferts in the water, depending on your tank it may or may not cause issues. If you feel you need to do the extra water change look for deficiencies, if you see them add more ferts.

EI is a lot of ferts, so it should not cause a problem.

Roughly, it will reduce the accumulated concentration of nutrients by about 25%.

Feel free to edit.

Maybe less ferts per day would be better?
Less work, less WC's.

You can do whatever water changes you want with the EI dosing method. If you change 50% or more of the water I think it is a good idea to dose the macro nutrients right after the water change, but if you change a lot less than that it shouldn't make any difference whether you just continue the dosing schedule unchanged or not. Remember, this is a method that doses roughly the amount of each nutrient you need - if it is off by 50% it may still be all that is needed.
