Need some help understanding PPS and dosing

hey guys im just after some clarification on PPS dosing, im pretty sure ive been dosing incorectly and would like to rectify it.

this is what im currently doing.

water volume is 80 liters

Now, from what i understand (that be very little) i need to do a 50% waterchange to reset the column. and then dose:

12ml seachem nitrogen to get 10ppm
19ml seachem phosphorus to get 1ppm
16ml seachem potasium to get 10ppm
1ml seachem iron to get .1ppm

i got these values from "yet another nutrient calculator" and finding what to add to reach the targets.

IS THIS CORRECT? and after i do that, do i then use the calculator to find the pps daily dose to maintain those targets?

i also have trace, flourish and excel on hand. not sure what how much of each to use. i assume i still need to use flourish in order to get mg ca etc. into the tank.

Lighting is high, co2 is about 30ppm, ph 6.6, kH 4, gH 9.

A 50% weekly WC is associated with EI dosing methods.
PPS Classic or Pro claims no water changes needed to reset the water column.
IMO opinion WC's are still a necessary task, how often is up for debate.

A great site for PPS data is here.

Hi daddykong,
Can’t you get the right chemicals in Australia? It would be cheaper, easier and more flexible.
Because what you are doing is not PPS.
