How to test if cycle is done when dosing potassium nitrate?

I set up a new 90g tank and it's decently planted. I got 2 anubias, 3 clumps of java fern, 3 red crypts, and 5 giant vals. Currently residing in the tank is 9 giant danios.
I've been testing the water. Initially I had between 0-0.5 ammonia for about a day. Then after that ammonia has been 0 and nitrites have been 0.
I realize that if I buy a nitrate test kit and check for it, it should in theory indicate if I have any bacteria that is converting nitrite to nitrate. The problem is I've been dosing potassium nitrate for the plants. So I guess this would come up in the test?
How can I test to see if my cycle is complete?

Your plants are low light plants, which shouldn't need nitrates to be dosed. Plants also get nitrogen from ammonia, so I suggest stopping the nitrate dosing, doing a 50% water change, then watching the nitrite test results to see if the cycling is complete.
