Exclamation Plant nutrition for Vallisneria and Amazon swords

I have some dying vallisneria and amazon swords in my tank, and I need some ideas on what to do. So far I've thought of adding a CO2 pump, upping the light from medium to high, and adding some crushed up flake food to the tank (which I had left over when I switched to pellet food to lower the nitrates). Anyone have ideas?

Vals and swords do great in low light so med light is fine. What is your current set up
lights
substrate
tank size
fertilizers

swords and vals are heavy root feeders so root tabs if your not using them will help a lot people seem to like Osmocote + i do not have experience with it as my tanks are dirted.

Root tabs (store bought or diy [Osmocote]) and fresh bulbs!
I have a tank that suddenly seemed 'frozen' and as soon as I got new bulbs in and added more root tabs, everything exploded in growth. (I had a serious brain fart moment in this tank. I had thought I had already added the tabs and new bulbs, but clearly, my tank was telling me I had done this to my other 75 and not this one!)

By "fresh bulbs", do you mean plant bulbs? Like the ones you grow plants from?

think hes saying replacing the actual bulb, even though its not burnt out they can lose power/effectiveness

Vals like some carbonate do well. What's your KH?

root tabs will make a huge difference for those plants if you are not using them. Both are heavy root feeders

I have a blackwater tank with inert pH substrate where the vals and swords are thriving with PPS Pro drops. Cheap and simple.
