Glutaraldehyde calculator and with shrimps?

Hey guys, i came across glutaradehyde calculator on googleplay store, I have 25% solution, as per calculator, they suggest adding 30ml of glut to 470ml of water. Is that correct? Will it be ok for the shrimp as per their dosage recomendation (everyday and after water change)?

We DONT get metricide or etc. here in india

Yes, the dosage seems consistent with Flourish Excel.

Metricide is just a brand name for glutaraldehyde. If you can get the pure chemical, then that will be the same.

I would not do the large dose after a water change, and just stick with the 12.5 mL dosage.

I started Excel @ the factory recommendated doses for one day. I skip the after WC or start up doses. The EXTRA imo is just so you use more. The WC does less than you think on this product. It is said to break down in 24 to 28 hrs so what exactly are you taking out/w this water change...nil. Yet still traces are left so it does build but just a tad and
only during the first few hrs after that WC.
But the shrimp... I used it @ 1ml per 10g(after hardscape/gravel=8.5?)and the first few times I used it the shrimp reacted, but not much. Then when I doubled it they reacted a bit more, but only the first week. The reaction was noticeable increase in swimming around only. I was told that Glut is close to twice as strong as Excel. It was recommended by a trusted person on here that a replacement for double the recommended doses of Excel(2ml per 10g) will be 1.2ml of the Glut.

The shortest distance between any two points is a straight line...in the opposite direction...

Excel is 1.5% glut right? Well since mine is a 500liter tank, if i calculate only water volume, it comes to 380 to 400 liter (100g). The dosage recomended is 10ml daily, ill start with 5ml and keep increasing 1ml daily till 10ml.
