CanI forget a heater?

For my molly fry rubbermaid box? I set it up about a week ago, the temperature gets to be inside minimum 74 F. I am doing water changes every other day and it is about 12 gallons. It has internal filter. My house stays super warm all day because my family gets cold easily, we have canaries and I am always home. It stays 76-77.

The plastic is pretty good insulator, or no? Should I get one? There are some super inexpensive ones. But, I don't want anymore plugs if I find a large aquarium for a good price, I want to consolidate my tanks into 1.

As long as the house heater (room temperature) keeps water within their range (70-82*F), they are perfectly fine without a added heater.
Many fish rooms just use a room or house heater and no separate heaters in the tanks.

Plus I wouldn't really trust the cheap heaters, too much risk in them malfunctioning and not working, or worse, them overheating past the set temp. and cooking your fish (or just too hot) or even possibly electrocuting the water/fish.

Probably. Molly are pretty cold tolerant so even dipping into the high 60 is not a problem.

Should be perfectly fine, mollies are very hardy.

My current project, a 65 gallon aquarium stocked with vernal pool fauna.

Thanks for the replies. It seemed like a good idea to not put a heater, now I feel better. Based on the circumstances.
