pH Swings with CO2

Hey Guys,

My pH stays in the high 5.0 during my light cycle and when Co2 is on. After lights and CO2 are off it slowly builds back up to 7.3 by the next morning. Is this normal?

Last test results:
29 Gallon, heavily planted
ph 5.9
GH: 6
kH: 3
CO2: 113ppm

The rate at which the CO2 off-gasses to the atmosphere being determined by the amount of surface agitation of the water. From high 5 to 7.3 suggests some decent surface agitation.

Why do you think you have 113 ppm of CO2? It is impossible to measure it anywhere near that accurately unless you spend $1000's of dollars.

Hoppy I used this calc which I think is based on the kH/pH chart that people use.
