FlorinAxis vs Excel

Not too long ago, I went to my LFS and they were out of Excel. The guy told me that FlorinAxis was comparable. I'm wondering if anyone has used this stuff, and if it is as effective against algae as Excel. I hadn't worried much about it, I've been dosing my 2.5 with it for a little while, along with Flourish Comprehensive, Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Sulphate, and Monopotassium Phosphate. I also have a DIY Jello CO2 setup. But unfortunately, today I noticed a little bit of BBA on my Wisteria.

**I can't post the whole link, because I'm a n00b.......**
^ this is the stuff.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm pretty new to this game.

Glutaraldehyde is a source of bioavailable organic carbon, and the generic name for Excel. That is what I have used for over a year. I have great growth for my low light tank. I got mine from a member in my local planted tank club at a wonderful price, much less then 1/2

75g, pair of gold rams , ABN, 1 adult 2 young discus, 2oto's, 6ADF's, 3 anglefish. 96w 6700k-light 6hrs raised, No C02, Excel, EI dry macro's and micro's, Eheim 2126, 18w UV, 2 Nano 270 powerhead. wall of bubbles for more O2 for such a deep tank.

According to their ingredients, they are indeed different. However I know people who have experienced similar results with both products. For the record, I'm a big fan of Brightwell supplements, but I currently use excel.
