PPS Pro without N

In a tank with a high bio load and lots of nitrates, How would I adjust the PPS PRO recipe to eliminate kno3 from the mix and rely only on k2so4 for my K.

If you remove the kno3 but want to keep the same amount of potassium, you would add another 26g on k2so4. This is something you would have to experiment with though, Im not completely sure that amount of k2so4 will dissolve.

Also I would feel better if someone ran the numbers as well, I am pretty sure that it is correct, but having someone double check is always nice.

One gram of KNO3 contains 0.386717 grams K.
One gram K2SO4 contains 0.448737 grams K.

So if you want to replace KNO3 with KSO4, and get the same amount of K, you'd need to multiply your original KN03 amount by 86.18% (i.e. 0.386717 / 0.448737). IOW, add 0.8618 grams K2SO4 for each gram of KNO3 you're removing.

Disclaimer: I don't know much about ferts yet. But I know a little chemistry.

I tried this and could not get it to dissolve. I tried a blender to mix it and it still settled. You might get it to work if you cut the whole recipe in half then use twice the dose.

I just thought about that, and I'm going to try it. My tank has enough nitrates without adding more.

EDIT: Just calculated it and it would be 27.5 grams K2SO4 and injecting twice the dose.

So does this sound right?
1 litre water
3g of KH2PO4
20.5g of MGSO4
29.5g of K2SO4 + 28g of K2SO4 ( 32.5g of KNO3 removed X 0.8618 )
Then dose at 2ml per 10 gallon.

And if I want to mix 800ml just multiply all totals by 0.8, right?
