How long should i wait to see the plants pick up the growth?

Assuming everything else is perfect (lighting co2) how long should I wait to see the plants pick up the growth after I start dosing? Also assuming the green spot algae that I have on my glass and plants is due to nutrition deficiencies would adding fertilizers remove the existing algae or would it prevent further spreading.

How long has your tank been set up?
What are your tank specs?

Within two weeks, you should definitely see improvement.

Without Algae, death of mankind would be inevitable.

dosing does not kill/stop algae. you'll have to remove this or treat it.

i though that once the plants really grow, especially faster ones, that it will combat the algae and minimize it?

It does not directly kill the algae, the healthy plants simply grow fast enough to out compete the algae. Therefore any algae present in the tank wont go away on its own, it hopefully wont spread or grow but it will not just vanish without direct action.
