Dosing a 2.5g

I have a 2.5g Rimless and a 16" finnnex stingray light and will have anubias nana petite, dwarf Hairgrass, ludwigia and possibly some other plants. I plan on buying flourish comprehensive and I will be planting my DHG in small clumps for it to carpet. How much should I dose? Anything else I should dose?

Thanks.

If your not running pressurized CO2, then you should use Excel. It can be extremely affordable for a tank that small too.

Sounds like a cool setup though, I love nano tanks filled with nana petite. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

How much Exel would I dose for a tank this small? Any other things you'd recommend?

Thanks so much! I hope the carpet grows out nicely.

As for the Excel, directions call for 5mL for every 50 gallons. Which is 1mL per 10 gallons. So for a 2.5g tank, you would dose 0.25 mL daily.

And for anything else, ferts can be broken down most simply to micros, macros, and carbon. Flourish would take care of he micros, excel the carbon, and then you would need a macro source.

If you haven't bought the flourish yet, I would recommend you reach out to NilocG on the forum. He makes ferts and has a liquid micro/macro combo pack that would likely take care of your tank for a few years since it's so small. Then you would just need excel and your all set.

Yes definetly. In my 7.5g, I do excel daily and flourish weekly after a water change.

Would I dose the same amount of flourish? Just only once a week then?
