Do I need Flourish Iron?

I have been dosing my tank with Flourish and a free sample of PlantGro Iron for a couple weeks now. I just received Flourish N,P,K in the mail yesterday and started dosing today. The sample of iron is about to run out. Could I get away without using it or should I get some Flourish Iron?

The plants I have are HC, HM, Riccia, and dwarf hairgrass. Lighting is a 26watt CF and a 15watt CF over a 10gallon tank. Amazonia substrate.

If you started dosing Macros then you should start dosing Micros's (aka Trace elements) as well.

CSM+b (Micro mix) has plenty of Iorn in it.

I agree with GlassCat594 you need to dose both Macro and Micro ferts but Flourish is a micro trace fert so that's probably all you need. I don't think you can overdose Fe as long as your doing regular water changes so adding a bit extra shouldn't hurt anything.

Well I guess I should have checked the tread earlier. I went ahead and ordered pfertz micro. should i try to cancel the order, does Flourish have similar nutrients to the pfertz.

If you look at the fertillator, the recommended dose of Flourish will give you sufficient amounts of Fe. Unless you have a super high tech setup then you will be fine with what you have.

Pfertz Micro is great stuff I like it better than Flourish and it's easier to dose, just one pump per 10gal of water and cheaper in the long run.
