Ok so i am really starting to get super confused with why this is happening! So right now i am attempting to acclimate 9 green tetras and one oto cat. So te oto is in a different container since it was from in the stores water and the tetras came strait from the main distributor so they were still bag and had the blue water(Stress relieving i think?). So the oto i have just been adding a little water to his every 5to 10in or so and when i first started the tds was like 112 and now its at 154 so that one is working out while on the other hand the tds of the tetras water was at 124 and now its all the way at flippen 750!!! Now my tanks tds is 200 and doesnt go up or down at all (stays in a 198-200-204) range at all times. THe tetras are being dripped acclimated so i have a line that is dripping at like 3drops per second. Is it just them pooping everywhere that is doing this or what is going on right now ='(. Knowing where its at this could take me hours on end just to get it back down. =/

anyone know if its just the fish waste or what?

It seems unlikely that it would be fish waste, unless they'd been fed recently, but being still in the bag from the distributor that shouldn't be true...

put another way: if it was fish waste, why wasn't the TDS really high when you opened the bag in the first place?

The bag containing the blue liquid should have a TDS of 2500+. I was in a similar scenario when I picked up a dozen platys from Petco. The fish was still in the bag that had a blueish tint. I checked the TDS before I began my drip acclimation and the TDS meter told me it was 250 x 10 or 2500+. I was surprised when I saw the reading. It took me 4 hours to complete the drip acclimation but I did not lose a fish from that batch.
