I have started CO2 in my tank a checked the ph before i started. How fast will I see a change?

Using the Hagen system you probably couldn't get too much CO2, so it isn't too critical.

Just before lights on ought to be the lowest pH, I test then.

I have the Hagen and the 2L DIY. Is this enouch Co2 for a 55g??

Please look at all the posts you have posted and the replies. I have told you a couple of times that the Hagen system is not enough for a 55 gallon tank. I doubt you will see any drop in the pH unless you have a monitor. A standard pH test kit is not going to be fine enough. I would doubt that you could manage a .1 point drop unless your water was extremely soft.

I have read all the replies and I know that the hagen isnt enough so because of your advice I bought a 2nd Hagen diffuser from the LPS and have 2 2L DIY bottles running to it. A diffuser placed in each corner. What i dont know if there is like a rule of thumb like one bottle for 20g, two bottles for 40 or whatever??

2 diffusers and 2 2L bottles? Could work. Could OD.

What were the water parameters before you started?
