Old fertilizer question

I have some Plantex CSm fertilizer that I purchased 2 or three years ago. It has been kept inside and in a relatively dark area. Is this still potent (for lack of a better word) enough to use or should I pitch it? Not sure if ferts have any kind of shelf life.

If you think you may not like the answer, don't ask the question.

If it's still powder then it should be fine. If it's a trace solution I would toss it.
