Plantex CSM+B

Can you put this directly into the tank or must it be first mixed? If so is there a recommended dosing? All dosing I find is based in mls.

Just curious if you are required to make it into a solution prior to introducing it to your tank.

To this point I have been using Flourish as my micros, but they just ran out and it's Plantex time.

A lot of this depends on how big your tank is...

Small tanks pretty much require mixing a solution, as you're not going to be able to measure out quantities small enough for a nano tank in dry form. Below 10 gallons your dosing is going to be under 1/32 of a teaspoon.... Mixing a solution offers an easy way to divide the dosing down into something measurable..

Regardless, there are plenty of calculators out there for the various dosing schemes, primarily EI and PPS-Pro are the popular dosing schemes. They offer dry dosing or soution-mixing calculations for you..

Like mattinmd said it depends on how much your trying to dose. I dose a 1/8th tsp measurement straight into my 40b 3x a week dry so it can be done.

I dry dose my 9g with 1/32 tsp 3x a week. I bought a mini set of teaspoons on Amazon so I can measure down to 1/64 tsp. Pretty crazy.

Here's some info on dosing amounts based on the EI method.

That was exactly what I was looking for. I figured you could, but the printout I kept around my tank was non dry dosing.

It's for 60 gallons, med tech. I'm going with 1/8 tsp 3x weekly.
