I bought potassium nitrate that produced for agriculture. (13.0.46) N:%13 P:%0 K:%46
The molar mass is this fertilizer here; http://www.convertunits.com/molarmass/KNO3
I added 100gr in 1000ml water. And I added 10ml from this solition to my 50lt aquarium. I calculated like this;
10 ml water contain 0,3867 gr potassium
PPM = (50.000g/0,3867) x 1.000.000
PPM = (0,000007734) x 1.000.000
PPM = 7,73 (This is true.)
10 ml water contain 0,1385 gr nitrate
PPM = (50.000g/0,1385) x 1.000.000
PPM = (0,00000277) x 1.000.000
PPM = 2,77 (This is false)
So, I added %13 N and %46 K. But, The James' Planted Tank web pages calculate differently . Dou you know anything for this difference?
Thank you very much.
