What's a good range to have your tds at for a planted tank ?

I mostly ignore tds and focus on KH/GH. Usually people watch tds closely if they are doing shrimp, and not so much on the average plant/fish/snail tank.

New to planted tanks, avid gardener/tinkerer.

That's actually a good thread.. and I guess I was overstating things a bit earlier when I said I ignore TDS...

TDS has its place, but isn't one of the first parameters that comes to mind when I'm wondering if there's a water problem... That said, I do weekly 50% water changes, which generally precludes TDS explosions from happening, hence its place rather low on my "worry about" list.
