Are these safe to use

Is it safe to use Osmocote root tabs they sell on ebay?
It says on the bottle this fertilizer is for all plants, but I've never used root tabs before so not too sure if these are safe.
Do any of you use these? Or what other types of fertilizer do you use?
I currently dose liquid fertilizer from Seachem, every week.

That is the product I use. I do not put it in gel caps, though.

A lot of people use the Osmocote to make root tabs for their tanks. I use Jobe plant spikes and have for years. I just cut the sticks into small pieces and they work great. Plants grow like weeds.

I make and use those. Never had any problems. You don't want to use too many though.

If I use these osmocote gel caps how often do I need to use them?
Do I just stick it in the substrate?
Can I use the root tabs with other liquid seachem fertilizer?

I used those and had a huge ammonia spike and tank crash very shortly after adding them. I'm not saying that the Osmocote did that, but it did happen very shortly after adding them.

My plants already growing like crazy without any co2 and root tabs. So I was trying to figure out if I really need root tabs.
I do flourish excel twice a week and iron, phosphorus, potasium and nitrogen dose every week.
I've heard dry fretilizers are very important to root feeders. My tank seems to be in good balance at the moment. So do I really need root tabs?

Don't bother. If you see a slowing of growth in your heavy root feeders like swords, crypts, or tiger lotus if you have one, then at that point in time add them.

Why change something when everything is going well. Best thing some of us can do is keep our hands out of our tanks lol. JMO

Awesome, I got all those plants you mentioned.

Totally unrelated question Roshan8768, are you from Sri Lanka?
