Is my water OK for new planted tank?

I am setting up a new 29 gallon planted tank. I've done a lot of reading in these forums as well as others, and I'm a little nervous about my water parameters. There is no water in my tank yet. I have very hard tap water (KH-19, pH-7.5 according to my tests), and was wondering if mixing the tap with filtered water would give me the results I'm looking for. I would like to have a pH of 6.5-7. I do plan on adding CO2 which I know would lower the pH, but I'm not sure if that will be sufficient since I plan on heavily planting this tank with a variety of plants. Desired fish species are neon tetra, rummynose tetra, and german blue ram. I'm totally new to the planted tank hobby. Any advice would be appreciated.

I suspect your KH is 19 ppm, not 19 degrees KH. I would expect the pH to be higher if the water was 19 dKH, which is really high.

That's what I thought. The accuracy of my test could have been skewed, but it did say dKH.
