Potassium Chloride as a fert?

Can I use some of this leftover potash (Potassium Chloride) 0-0-60 as a fert? Will the chloride hurt anything? I was thinking of putting in 1/4 teaspoon and mixing it into a gallon bucket... or however much you guys tell me I can do/need to pour into a 150 gallon tank if I could use it as a source of K.

KCl is on the fertilator in the potassium section if you want to use it.

Yes, you can use it, and dissolving it in water is a good idea. Don't dose it dry. If your fish ingest any chunks they will die on the spot--it causes cardiac arrest. It's among the chemical compounds used for the death penalty via injection. Just thought you'd like to know.
