If I were you, I'd do more water changes first (how much and how often are you doing now?), and seriously consider having fewer fish in a 10-gallon tank. ^^

Adding more volume to the system might help, but adding a second 10 and moving some of those fish over would work even better in my opinion!

Just keep on doing 25% weekly water changes and they'll eventually go away.

also try putting some Purigen in your filter, its said to help remove some nitrates.

purigen doesn't remove nitrate. I beleive it removes ammonia which prevents it from going through the cycle to become nitrate.

New tank at end of summer is good!
Temp fix... only thing I can think of is water changes, water changes, water changes - I know little to nothing of chemical methods as some have suggested, though.

With a little experimentation, you can figure out how much you need to do, how often, to keep those nitrates down.

I'd do 20-25% daily water changes to get it under control, and as sixwing suggested, experiment to see how much & how often after that. Also not a fan of using chemicals to do what water changes alone can do. Keep that hose handy 'til you get your new tank
