My tap water problem - help?

The Ph is 7.8 and high KH when it comes out fresh from the tap.

However, within few days, Ph drops to 6.0 and KH drops to low or zero.

Since the KH is so low, the PH might be swing from one spectrum to another which can cause to PH crash and certainly not good for the fish.

How do I fix this to make my PH low while the KH is ideal for freshwater tank?

I do water change once a week and I notice my fish acting weird few days after the WC. I had one guppy died for no reason ( no disease symptoms ).

Let a glass of tap water sit out for 48 hours. Check the pH and KH before and after.
