Is there an ideal water temp?

Currently my tank is at 79.5F. Low light tank with excel. Is that too high or even too low?

your temperate will be dictated by your tank inhabitants (AKA your Fish)

I agree.

For Discus, that's an acceptable temperature.

For Crystal Red Shrimp, that's too high for then (to live comfortably).
