Seachem Acid Buffer

Can anyone comment on the probable ingredient(s) of Seachem Acid Buffer..?

I searched the forums and didn't see much about it...

I'm asking because I'm having problems lowering my PH. I like to keep it around 6.8; the plants & critters seem happiest & healthiest there. I recently moved from Buffalo to Seattle, and the water here just seems impossible to get the PH to get below 8-ish.

Other than CO2 and Seachem Acid Buffer, how else can I drop the PH..?

Thanks.

Diluting the carbonates in your tap water with RO is the only reasonable way to accomplish this, acid buffer is foolishness.

It isn't the pH that your fish are happy with. In a natural system the low pH is a reflection of the lower carbonates and also typically lower general hardness. An adjustment to pH without corresponding adjustment to TDS is meaningless.

Your fish will adjust, keeping stable the parameters that matter is more important than trying to match an ideal.
