CO2 and Plant Density

Hi all,

I've noticed that every time I start a new tank, things go really well initially, but 3 months later or so, I tend to start getting stunted tips. I'm dosing full EI plus using aquasoil. I kind of eyeball the amount of gh booster, but it's like 1/4 a teaspoon every weekly water change. My CO2 has always been high, running through an atomizer, and since the plants started growing rapidly and healthy, I thought I had it dialed in. Plant density obviously has increased a good amount, so my question is if you guys adjust CO2 over the life of your aquascape as the plants grow out. My thinking is they would demand more nutrients to sustain themselves, so the less competitive plants would naturally stunt.

Thanks so much for the help!!

At a certain density, the CO2 will be taken up very rapidly so it must be increased.

In addition, the diffuser can get clogged... Tuning co2 definitely necessary for optimization
